Tessellation in my own words means an arrangement of photos or the same photo. To create the tessellation I first got an image from the internet then placed it in the template I created. After that I duplicated the layer and flipped it either horizontal or vertical so it could fit in the other slots or positions. What I liked the most about this was what I created. My favorite one is the very first one I did of the beach on the sunny day or the second one because it's a summer night and I love summer nights. I didn't really struggle, but I didn't like the 5th and 6th tessellations because it took a lot of time. If I had to do it over again I would probably pick different pictures or use my own, but I literally had no photos that were cool.

From going to the duck pond and portraiture I learned that lighting is important. I decided to choose the list that had the less poses so I wouldn't have to do much. My partners just chose whichever. That's how we decided who does what. The reflector was really useful because it gave the model light and made him/her look better. It did come handy. To retouch the photo I did everything that the tutorial showed us. People that use portrait photography could be magazine companies as well as advertisements. The average salary of a Portrait Photographer in United States is $35513. Some of the top image makers command over $10,000 per day, or $1,500 per image. I did not bring any food to take a picture of, but Ari let me use her food to take pictures so shoutout to her. Again I didn't bring props, but Ari also let me use the table cloth she brought so thanks she a real one. From the videos we watched I learned that food stylists spend hours to style the food, which I personally think is dumb. I also learned that they get paid up to thousands of dollars for the pictures. They also use different stuff and substitute it in because it might look better in a photo that way. For example they might use glue instead of milk. Another thing I learned was how to create a chill look on beer, which was really interesting. They use wax. Some stuff I did to make my photograph look like the pros is that I moved stuff around and got different angles. From this experience I learned that angles and light and how you take a picture are all important and I did not know that before. Careers and businesses that use food photography are McDonalds and other food joints like that. It's not only food joints though it's also other businesses. I was successful in taking pictures, but that's about it. I don't think I would do this again because I personally didn't like it, but yeah I guess it was pretty cool and different from the usual. To create this I first imported all of the pictures I took into iPhoto. After that I had to crop the photo to remove the unwanted stuff. Then I moved them onto the template and put them in the correct box. You just repeat that last step for all the letters. That's basically it. I didn't really know how to put the pictures in the template, but I found out. I was proud of figuring out how to put the letters in the slots. The thing I like best about my artwork was how it came out. Something I could improve about my artwork is probably the pictures. This is me (Anthony Chavez) chilling with my favorite skater, idol, and role model Paul Rodriguez, who also goes by P Rod. We were just cooling off and resting after a dope skate sesh. We were also watching an intense game of SKATE between Nick Tucker and Shane O'Niell. They are both also sponsored by Primitive and are amazing skaters.
In this picture i'm just with all my dawns having fun, laughing, and smiling. We are at a Grizzly Griptape meet and greet in a skate shop LA. I'm sponsored by Baker skateboards, Grizzly Griptape, DMND hardware, Andale bearings, Bones wheels, Venture Trucks, Vans, Stance socks, Obey Clothing, Mountain Dew, Nixon, Skull candy, and The House skate shop. I am working on a new video part for Baker skateboards that's going to drop in October.
